Summary
Join Payability as their Head of FP&A and be a key finance partner to leadership, shaping crucial decisions through data-driven insights. You will build and scale robust financial models, budgets, and forecasts, develop cohort analysis, and provide visibility into business performance. Manage the company's banking relationships, support fundraising efforts, and implement improved FP&A tools and processes. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, capital-intensive fintech company, ideal for someone with deep experience and a passion for building from the ground up. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
- At least 5 years relevant experience - preferably in at least one of the following environments: investment banking, private equity, venture capital, fintech and/or startup
- Proficient with financial modeling, data analysis and financial reporting; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled with spreadsheets, dashboards and queries to extract, manipulate and transform data; SQL/Python preferred
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment, operates with a sense of urgency while managing multiple priorities
- Must be detail-oriented and produce accurate and timely work
- Effectively communicates and collaborates across the organization, motivates team to achieve results
- Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and a team player
- Successful implementation of API banking (Airwallex or similar) with new “flow of funds” process
- Complete automation of the borrowing base process with team cross-training
- Implement an effective cash forecasting process
- Document a formal budget, with recurring processes established for monthly variance analysis, cost control and forecast updates
- Build an executive dashboard for tracking business KPIs by customer cohort (such as CAC, LTV, IRR, churn, etc.), and quarterly team OKRs
Responsibilities
- Build and scale robust financial models, budgets and forecasts that support strategic planning, fundraising, and scenario analysis
- Develop and refine cohort analysis, customer acquisition cost and lifetime value models
- Provide visibility into business performance through reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking
- Manage the company’s relationship with its bank lender, ensuring continued credit facility compliance including daily borrowing base and periodic financial reporting, covenant certificates and audit requirements
- Support debt and/or equity fundraising efforts with investor-ready models, pitch materials, and data-driven storytelling
- Implement and improve FP&A tools, processes, and systems as the company scales
- Eventually support a sale process for the company
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other financial certification preferred (e.g. CPA, CFA, etc.)
