Head of Healthplan Sales

Join Blueberry Pediatrics, a rapidly growing company revolutionizing pediatric healthcare, as a high-performing salesperson to accelerate Medicaid managed care sales. You will develop and execute a comprehensive payer partnership strategy, exceeding revenue targets, and leading the sales process from start to finish. This role requires extensive experience in health plan sales, proven sales leadership, and expertise in high-stakes negotiations. As the company scales, you will build a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced startup environments and is passionate about improving access to quality pediatric care. Compensation includes a base salary of $130k-$175k and an OTE of $260k-$350k.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior sales experience with health plans
• A proven track record in senior sales roles with hands on experience in payer sales
• Deep understanding of the healthcare payer landscape and its barriers is essential
• Demonstrated sales leadership & closing expertise
• Skilled in high-stakes negotiations and deal structuring
• Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies
• Startup mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive payer partnership strategy that accelerates revenue growth, expands Blueberry’s market presence, and positions us as a key partner for health plans
• Take full ownership of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
• Oversee the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closing
• Develop and refine sales processes that create efficiencies and drive conversion rates at each stage
• Continuously monitor industry developments, payer policies, and regulatory changes to inform sales strategy and proactively address potential challenges
• As Blueberry grows, you’ll build a high performing team to scale revenue and drive strategic goals

Benefits

• 130k-175k base salary
• OTE 260k-350k OTE (50/50 split)
