Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of management experience in aviation security, airport operations, or personnel security services
- Have proven experience operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market
- Have expertise in aviation security protocols including operations in secure and sterile areas in accordance with GCAA and international regulations
- Have the ability to analyze data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding safety and security
- Have the ability to explain safety and security concepts clearly and concisely, and actively listen to users' questions and concerns
- Have the ability to accurately scope blocking issues and devise appropriate solutions
- Set a high standard of excellence across Global contributing business units. Exhibit positivity and optimism in the face of adversity
- Have the ability to manage competing priorities in a project with very aggressive timelines. Adaptability and flexibility - Have the ability to change course as new information becomes available. Remain focused on the objectives while resources and timelines are subject to change
- Have proven experience operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market
- Be able to work legally in the UAE
- Comply with any specific regulatory or industry requirements applicable to the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for security-related activities and communications
- Partner globally to ensure safety and security of operations
- Function as the primary liaison with all levels of public law enforcement
- Oversee, and assist in, the process of analyzing actual and perceived threats against the Company and Company team members (when such conditions relate to the scope of their employment and assets)
- Network interdepartmentally and with business partners to instill and promote a security culture, in accordance with principles described in the Company's security policies
- Represent the Company on security matters dealing with applicable governmental agencies and professional organizations
- Interpret and apply security regulations, and provide guidance and support to all employees / crewmembers performing such tasks
- Draft and uphold safety and security processes by which team members are expected to adhere
- Monitor the security program with regard to its effectiveness and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
- Conduct internal audits and evaluations, analyze data and generate reports to ensure compliance with expectations and standards
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to security and safety
- Design, develop and implement the security training program and curriculum, in accordance with applicable local and federal aviation regulations
- Provide security related training to the Safety Department, Flight Operations, Station Operations, Technical Operations, IT, Dispatch and senior leadership, as applicable
- Interface with the Global training departments to continue to update the security training program in all phases and departments
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to staff training
- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and guidance regarding: budget, staffing, training, equipment, communications, and other resources to achieve departmental and security goals
Preferred Qualifications
Have familiarity with UAE labor laws and regulations
