Summary
The job is for a full-time remote College Admissions Strategist at College Admission Secrets, who will guide students through the college application process, develop personalized strategies, and stay updated on admission trends. The strategist should have excellent communication skills, 3+ years of experience in college admissions coaching or related fields, a Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field, strong understanding of the college admissions process, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds, familiarity with standardized test preparation and strategies, knowledge of financial aid and scholarship opportunities, passion for education, and be organized and detail-oriented.
Requirements
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- At least 3+ years experience as a College Admissions Strategist or as a Consultant/counselor in the Education, Training/Development, and/or Coaching space ( college admission coaching experience highly preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field; Master's degree preferred or Proven experience in college admissions counseling, education, or a similar field
- Strong understanding of the college admissions process, including application requirements and timelines
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and tailor guidance to individual needs
- Familiarity with standardized test preparation and strategies
Responsibilities
- Create a roadmap plan that outlines recommended classes, activities, and timelines for students
- Provide individualized coaching and guidance to students on all aspects of the college admissions process
- Develop and deliver workshops and seminars on topics such as college selection, application timelines, essay writing, and financial aid
- Assist students in identifying their strengths and interests to help them select appropriate colleges and majors
- Review and provide feedback on college applications, personal statements, and supplemental essays
- Stay informed about the latest trends and changes in college admissions and incorporate them into coaching strategies
- Support students in testing strategies and timelines for SAT/ACT
- Work with Coach to collaborate with parents, teachers, and school counselors to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
- Review with coach student progress and outcomes to ensure they are meeting their goals

- Knowledge of financial aid and scholarship opportunities is a plus
