Hospice Bereavement Coordinator

Summary

Join Mission Healthcare as a Bereavement Coordinator and contribute to planning, implementing, and maintaining a bereavement program for families/caregivers. This role involves coordinating grief counseling needs and services, providing support to hospice personnel, and developing the Bereavement Program through annual evaluation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, or completion of equivalent course work in addition to qualifications of experienced clinical grief counseling
• Ability to work as a team member
• Knowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the assessment and delivery of grief counseling needs and services (one-to-one, groups, and ongoing follow-up) to ensure timely and appropriate services are provided to family/caregivers
• Plans for Bereavement Program development, expansion and refinement through annual evaluation of services
• Provides bereavement support to hospice personnel coping with work related grief through one-to-one counseling, supervision of interns providing one-to-one counseling, and referral to community resources
