Summary

Join IntellaTriage's growing team as a Baylor Hospice Triage Nurse and enjoy the benefits of working from home, providing compassionate after-hours care without the commute. You'll utilize cutting-edge technology to support hospice and home health providers. This fast-paced role requires strong tech skills, experience in end-of-life care (preferred), and the ability to handle multiple calls efficiently. Full-time nurses work a set schedule (Sat & Sun 4:30 AM–4 PM, Mon 3:30 PM–12 AM) within a 14-day pay period. Requirements

  • Have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license
  • Live in/work from a Compact US state
  • Have high-speed internet
  • Be tech-savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence
  • Be able to follow instructions, read directions, and be confident using technology
  • Use your own high-speed internet
  • Have a quiet space, away from noise and distraction, while you work (privacy/HIPAA compliant space is required)
  • Be comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls
  • Be comfortable with typing in a fast-paced environment
  • Be fluent in English
  • Physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer
  • Be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training that is conducted during days and evenings
  • Be available to work some Holidays as required
  • Pass background check and nurse licensing check
  • Remain in good standing and ensure your home state license remains active

Responsibilities

  • Provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers
  • Manage after-hours care delivery
  • Become an extension of our clients’ care team
  • Access EMRs for charting
  • Utilize internal applications to perform job functions
  • Follow instructions and read directions
  • Complete a minimum of 30 minutes paid shift prep prior to taking calls
  • Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours at the end of your shift completing remaining charting before clocking out
  • Maintain CEU’s as designated by the states in which you are answering calls
  • Attend any in-services and additional training on an as-needed basis
  • Handle stress and multitask when receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, and up to 8 per hour on weekends)
  • Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience with end-of-life care
  • Have experience in hospice, palliative, end-of-life care and in fast-paced environments: ED, critical care, surgical services, etc
  • Speak additional languages
