Hospice Triage RN

Join IntellaTriage's growing team of remote Hospice Triage Nurses! Enjoy the flexibility of working from home while providing compassionate end-of-life care. This part-time position requires experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care and a fast-paced environment. You'll receive three weeks of paid remote training and utilize technology to manage after-hours care. A compact RN license is required, and you must have high-speed internet and a quiet workspace. In addition to competitive pay, benefits include PTO and 401(k) participation.

Requirements

• Have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license
• Live in/work from a Compact US state
• Have experience with end-of-life care
• Have high speed internet
• Be tech savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence
• Be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training that is conducted during days and evenings
• Be available to work every other Saturday & Sunday
• Be available to work some Holidays as required
• Physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer
• Remain in good standing and ensure your home state license remains active

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to hospice and home health patients
• Manage after-hours care delivery for clients
• Become an extension of our clients’ care team
• Utilize client-customized protocols for patient care
• Access EMRs for charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions
• Follow instructions, read directions, and be confident using technology
• Complete a minimum of 30 minutes paid shift prep prior to taking calls
• Complete 30 minutes to 2 hours of charting at the end of each shift
• Handle stress and multitask when receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, and up to 8 per hour on weekends)
• Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to protocols
• Maintain CEU’s as designated by the states in which you are answering calls
• Attend any in-services, and additional training on an as needed basis
• Pass background check and nurse licensing check

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience in hospice, palliative, end-of-life care and in fast-paced environments: ED, critical care, surgical services, etc
• Be comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls
• Have ability and comfort with typing in a fast-paced environment
• Have fluency in English (additional languages are a bonus)
