Summary

Join IntellaTriage's growing team of remote Hospice Triage Nurses! Enjoy the flexibility of working from home while providing compassionate end-of-life care. This part-time position requires experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care and a fast-paced environment. You'll need a compact RN license, high-speed internet, and strong tech skills. We offer three weeks of paid remote training, a laptop and headset, and competitive pay with opportunities for increases. Benefits include PTO, 401(k), and potential access to medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time nurses. Work a minimum of two shifts weekly and every other weekend.

Requirements

  • Have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license
  • Live in/work from a Compact US state
  • Have experience with end-of-life care
  • Have high-speed internet
  • Be tech-savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence
  • Be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training that is conducted during days and evenings
  • Be available to work every other Saturday & Sunday
  • Be available to work some Holidays as required
  • Physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer
  • Remain in good standing and ensure your home state license remains active

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to hospice and home health patients
  • Manage after-hours care delivery as an extension of our clients’ care teams
  • Utilize client-customized protocols and best-in-class technology to perform triage duties
  • Access EMRs for charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions
  • Follow instructions, read directions, and confidently use technology
  • Complete a minimum of 30 minutes of paid shift preparation before taking calls
  • Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours at the end of each shift completing charting
  • Handle stress and multitask while receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, and up to 8 per hour on weekends)
  • Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to protocols
  • Maintain CEUs as designated by the states in which you are answering calls
  • Attend in-services and additional training as needed
  • Pass background check and nurse licensing check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience in hospice, palliative, end-of-life care and in fast-paced environments: ED, critical care, surgical services, etc
  • Be comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls
  • Have the ability and comfort with typing in a fast-paced environment
  • Have fluency in English (additional languages are a bonus)
