Join KNAUER Life Science Inc. as a Field Service Engineer in North America! This full-time position, based on the east or west coast, involves installing and maintaining HPLC and LNP instruments, instructing customers, and selling maintenance contracts. Requirements

• Be a trained laboratory technician (m/f/d) or have a university degree in chemistry or biochemistry
• Have experience in instrumental analysis and extensive experience in the field of HPLC and/or formulation of APIs into lipid nanoparticles
• Have previously carried out maintenance on similar equipment
• Use MS Office applications and chromatography software or be able to familiarise yourself quickly and independently with these programmes
• Have a high level of self-motivation and organisational skills
• Have a very good command of written and spoken English
• Possess a car driving licence
• Understand that a high degree of time flexibility is a necessary requirement
• Be willing to travel through USA and Canada (75 % travel)
• Be a good listener, able to grasp complex issues and offer the customer convincing solutions

Responsibilities

• Install HPLC and LNP instruments and instruct our customers in their use
• Repair and maintain instruments on site
• Instruct in various software packages for controlling our devices
• Sell maintenance contracts together with the sales department
• Support of fairs and test setups
