Summary
Join Cypress Creek Renewables as their HSSE Coordinator and play a vital role in implementing company safety policies and providing environmental health and safety support. Reporting to the Director of HSSE, you will collaborate with the Solutions department to maintain a safe work environment. This cross-functional leadership role involves coaching field operations team members and office staff, promoting safety behaviors and work processes. The ideal candidate is an experienced safety professional passionate about creating safe work environments and preventing injuries. Your expertise will ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines while fostering a proactive safety mindset. This position is open to remote candidates who can travel frequently to support projects in the Northeast and Pacific coast.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a similar role, preferably in a field-based environment
- Strong understanding of OSHA/Electrical safety standards and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management information systems
- Ability to analyze data and report safety statistics effectively
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing safety challenges
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage employees at all levels of the organization
Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce Cypress Creek Renewables (CCR) safety policies and programs
- Drive a strong safety culture by actively engaging with employees and promoting safe practices
- Advise and guide employees on safety-related topics, ensuring they understand and comply with safety standards
- Prepare and conduct monthly safety meetings to communicate critical updates and reinforce safety priorities
- Ensure adherence to all applicable safety regulations and standards
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures
- Respond promptly to incidents and accidents, ensuring proper investigation and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Prepare detailed reports on accidents, violations, and their causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct regular safety audits, behavior-based observations (BBOs), and safety walks to identify areas for improvement
- Enforce preventative measures to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety
- Oversee workplace repairs, installations, and any activities that could impact employee safety
