Summary

Join our Business Operations team as the new Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager and lead the development and implementation of a proactive and positive HSEQ culture in our Norwegian operations. You will be part of the Business Operations department, reporting to the Geography Head of Business Operations and having a dotted line to the Group HSEQ Director. This role involves shaping how HSEQ is perceived and practiced, both internally and externally, and driving key processes while fostering collaboration. Based anywhere in Norway with some travel required, you will play a central role in a growing, global HSEQ environment, impacting core business decisions and building strong cross-functional partnerships. You will drive a proactive and positive HSEQ culture, lead national HSEQ strategy, oversee compliance activities, chair the national HSE/Work Environment organization, and coordinate various HSEQ-related tasks. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to wellbeing and build strong cross-functional partnerships.

Requirements

  • As minimum a bachelor’s degree in health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of practical HSEQ experience, ideally including project leadership or construction site exposure
  • Experience with ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001) and national HSEQ regulations
  • A confident, self-driven leader with the ability to influence without formal authority
  • Skilled in building relationships and engaging stakeholders across organizational levels and geographies
  • Business-oriented mindset with the ability to understand operational challenges and translate them into actionable HSEQ initiatives
  • Passionate about people, wellbeing, and fostering a strong safety culture

Responsibilities

  • Driving a proactive and positive HSEQ culture that aligns with national laws and ISO standards
  • Leading and coordinating national HSEQ strategy in collaboration with global and group teams
  • Overseeing compliance activities, incident reporting and legal monitoring
  • Chairing the national HSE/Work Environment organization and promoting wellbeing initiatives
  • Coordinating onboarding, HSEQ training, quality audits, performance reporting, and inspections
  • Developing business cases and presentations to support continuous improvement and strategic alignment
  • Participating in certification processes and contributing to crisis management planning
