Summary
Join SC&A, an environmental consulting firm, as a Hydrogeologist. You will be part of a team conducting remedial investigations, including groundwater monitoring well installation and sampling, and other water/media sampling. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in hydrogeology. Your experience should encompass groundwater hydrology field application, site remediation, risk assessment, and water quality monitoring. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential. SC&A is an at-will employer, and a background check is required.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, in the field of hydrology, hydrogeology, or geology
- Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in hydrogeology
- Experience should include groundwater hydrology field application, site remediation, risk assessment, water quality monitoring and environmental clean-up technology
- Experience should include aspects of groundwater sampling, artificial recharge applications, an understanding of solute transport modelling and an understanding of RCRA and CERCLA regulations
- Have an understanding of the sampling methods in environmental media, surface water, groundwater, sediment and soil
- Have a demonstrated ability to develop effective and concise reports and presentations (verbal and written) that are understandable to a senior management audience
- Have excellent oral and written communications skills, and a proven ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment and with changing schedules
