IAM Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a skilled IAM Engineer and be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions for cloud and on-premises systems. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure secure access and compliance. This full-time, remote position requires strong AWS IAM knowledge, experience with SFTP/Transfer Family and LDAP, and proficiency in Python scripting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills. AWS certifications are preferred, along with experience in identity federation and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM and access control mechanisms
• Hands-on experience with AWS SFTP/Transfer Family
• Proficiency in LDAP configuration and administration
• Experience in Python scripting for automation and integration tasks
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS IAM policies, roles, and permissions
• Maintain and optimize AWS SFTP/Transfer Family configurations for secure data transfer
• Administer and support LDAP services for authentication and authorization
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline IAM processes
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce access control policies and compliance standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related issues in a timely manner
• Stay up to date with the latest IAM trends and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Experience with identity federation, SAML, OAuth, or OpenID Connect
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
