Summary

Join Experian as an ICFR Controls Testing Manager, driving testing methodologies for critical financial controls across the global business. Collaborate with the ICFR Finance Controls team to develop and execute control testing plans, communicate control gaps, and manage a team of testing leads/analysts. Work alongside other assurance functions and leverage data analytics for increased automation. Ensure timely delivery of ICFR Annual Attestations and collaborate with stakeholders on identifying and prioritizing testing activities. Prepare reports, present findings to senior management, and maintain the risk universe. This remote, permanent position is based in Costa Rica.

Requirements

  • Professional finance or accounting qualification ACA/ACCA or equivalent, including either an audit background (be that external and/or internal audit) and/or corporate experience, in an assurance, internal controls or risk function
  • 7 years+ experience in an audit and accounting firm
  • Strong Excel skills
  • An understanding of IT systems and operation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and proactively
  • Ability to develop trusting and credible relationships at all levels of the business and across various teams
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to governance and change
  • An approach that champions collaboration and consultation
  • Proven ability to identify key risks and influence improvements in the control environment
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Experience of working in a multinational environment

Responsibilities

  • Drive the identification and prioritization of testing activities as part of the assurance planning process
  • Manage the planning and execution of control tests including coordinating the testing process with key stakeholders, managing the activities of control testing analysts (local and overseas), reviewing the quality of work performed
  • Prepare draft reports reflecting the results of work performed and agrees the findings and proposed actions with the business owners
  • Presenting findings to senior managers of the business and the relevant risk management forums
  • Collaborating with the Data Analytics team to identify opportunities to use high quality data analytics within testing teams during planning, fieldwork and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance of the testing team with the assurance methodology
  • Developing and maintaining the risk universe to support the identification and prioritization of testing and reporting of results and coverage
