Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience with highly available applications in modern programming languages such as Ruby, Go (preferred), Python, Java, or C++
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and testable software that performs well in production environments
  • Recent experience in designing and building RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with implementing automated testing and CI/CD pipelines in modern development environments
  • Advocate for best engineering practices, including development and test techniques, security, and automation
  • Ability to dive deep and resolve complex production issues in collaboration with your teammates
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn quickly within a collaborative, small-team setting
  • Demonstrated ability to independently learn new technologies and skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with an emphasis on clarity and conciseness

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Identity features, while refactoring and addressing technical debt
  • Participate actively in backlog refinement, Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with your team to meet sprint commitments
  • Manage work using GitHub, Jira, and our build/deploy systems
  • Take ownership of service reliability by responding to incidents, participating in the on-call rotation & post-incident reviews
  • Collaborate across all phases of projects to continuously improve our email platform
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within your team’s domain, independently or as part of a team
  • Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of the projects you work on
  • Continuously acquire new technical skills and knowledge to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases / AWS Dynamo & Aurora
  • Familiarity with microservices, highly performant APIs, and web security
  • Deploying cloud applications in a multi region environment
  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
