Join Dianthus Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, as an In Vitro Pharmacology Scientist. You will play a key role in advancing drug discovery programs by developing and implementing in vitro pharmacology assays to evaluate the efficacy, mechanism of action, and safety of novel therapeutic candidates. Reporting to the Principal, Translational Scientist, you will design, execute, and analyze pharmacological experiments. This laboratory-focused role requires full-time presence at our Watertown laboratory. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years, master’s degree with 4 years, or PhD with 1 years of experience preferably in molecular biology and/or antibody drug development
- A solid background of assay development for biochemical and cellular assays to support preclinical discovery projects
- Proficiency with standard cell and molecular biology techniques including plate-based assays (ELISA, MSD, etc.), cell-based assays, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, protein detection & quantification, western blots, qPCR, etc
- Experience with immunological assays and handling human blood and sera
- Experience with multi-color flow cytometry staining of cells or tissues, operating flow cytometers, and analyzing flow cytometry data
- Strong motivation to quickly learn new skills, grow as a scientist and adapt to novel challenges
- Team player with ability to effectively collaborate in a project-focused, fast-paced environment
- Highly flexible, responsive, and accountable work ethic
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present results in small group settings
- Proficiency in relevant software including GraphPad Prism, Flowjo and Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Establish strong scientific and technical initiatives and hands-on execution of in vitro assays to support identification, characterization and mechanism of action of lead candidates
- Design, execute, troubleshoot and interpret experiments independently
- Contribute to data analysis, visualization, and interpretation of experimental findings
- Read and interpret scientific literature pertaining to the biology and pathophysiology of therapeutic programs to propose innovative solutions to biological questions
- Participate in projects and team meetings to provide updates and enable data-driven decisions
- Maintain scientific documentation in laboratory notebooks and internal study reports
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are achieved within timelines
- Collaborate with external CROs to expand internal capabilities in assay development and lead optimization
- Manage lab, source and maintain laboratory reagents, inventory and shipping materials
