This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing you to see clients during hours that suit you. You will conduct therapeutic sessions, collaborate with prescribers, and work with a supportive team of clinicians. The position requires a current license in select states, a Master's degree, experience diagnosing mental health disorders, and strong clinical skills. Cerebral provides robust training, ongoing support, and access to resources for continued education. We offer a remote-first model with flexibility and a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Independently Licensed Therapist in the United States for any of the following license structures: Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work
- You are licensed and in good standing in at least one state; must be open to obtaining additional state licenses upon starting
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or equivalent
- Experience in diagnosing mental health disorders in accordance with the DSM-5 criteria
- Maintain a strong evidence-based clinical skill set while practicing & implementing outcome-focused care
- Empathetic and intuitive listening
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Knowledgeable in crisis response
- Comfortable working autonomously in a telemedicine environment
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate various systems & tools with ease (this includes, but is not limited to Google Workspace, Slack, proprietary EMR, etc.)

Responsibilities
- Conduct therapeutically sound sessions with clients weekly or bi-weekly for 45 minutes (cadence dependent on the client's plan)
- Provide anywhere from 15-40 hours of weekly availability
- Create your own flexible schedule based on your individual availability! Scheduled time must fall within the hours of 6:00am to 11:30pm per your specific timezone
- Work collaboratively with prescribers who are managing your clients' medication, in tandem with therapy services you are providing
- Work alongside other like-minded clinicians that have a common goal to positively impact the lives of others, and create an environment that leads to favorable outcomes for clients

- Decreased administrative time for clinicians through ongoing technology improvements and automations. Cerebral also handles all marketing, client referrals, billing, insurance claims processing, and payment needs allowing clinicians to fully focus on their clients

- Internal credentialing team to handle enrollment to payers that Cerebral is contracted with while continuing to expand our network of payers
