Indoor Mapping & Location Technician

Summary

Join our team and play a critical role in executing on-the-ground activities for indoor mapping at Caper Store sites. As an Indoor Mapping & Location Technician, you will set up and oversee SLAM scans 'Location indoor mapping' and location data collection to ensure successful deployment and operational alignment with our strategic goals.

Requirements

• General understanding of grocery store operations, including familiarity with product categories and layout
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with store staff, retailers, and stakeholders
• Valid driver's license and the ability to manage your own schedule based on project goals and a planned roadmap
• Flexibility to work varying hours, aligned with retail store operations, to achieve weekly targets
• Physical ability to be on your feet for long periods of time, ensuring active engagement in on-site tasks
• Capability to track and manage travel expenses efficiently

Responsibilities

• Own Complex Implementations: Lead the setup and execution of SLAM ‘Indoor location mapping’ scans at scale, transforming grocery retail spaces into digitally mapped environments
• Tackle Exciting Challenges: Work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where you’ll face complex logistical and technical challenges. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our technology works flawlessly, adapting solutions on-the-fly to meet site-specific conditions
• Drive Impact Through Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to optimize the deployment of cutting-edge solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a hands-on retail, e-commerce, or related operational role, such as store launches, warehouse operations, or fulfillment centers
• Background in operations or technical roles within the retail industry or experience with logistics process and technology preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Previous experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly in product development or engineering contexts
• Experience working in fast-paced environments, adapting quickly to change
