This is a ground-floor opportunity with a high-growth startup backed by world-class investors.

Requirements

  • You have deep experience managing medical terminologies for various technology and data use cases across a wide variety of clinical contexts and relevant ontologies
  • You have experience normalizing concepts across various disparate representations, and you are comfortable establishing, maintaining and communicating new concepts and value sets that meet analytic use cases over time
  • You are capable and fluent in best-in-class informatics tooling, or you have scar tissue managing concepts without tooling such that you are opinionated about a good informatics environment
  • You build empathy for customer problems and seek to understand, question, and improve todayโ€™s solutions
  • You seek hard problems to solve and are comfortable with ambiguity
  • You pay strong attention to detail, you communicate clearly and concisely and you have a bias towards action

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage standard content: design, build, maintain, and scale standard content libraries, ontologies, value sets, and hierarchies relevant to medical devices, procedures, diagnoses, claims data, and other healthcare concepts crucial to AcuityMD's platform
  • Drive data quality initiatives: define, measure, and monitor data quality metrics and identify root causes of data quality issues using informatics best practices to improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets
  • Cross-functional collaboration: provide expertise and guidance on leveraging informatics effectively by partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Platform, and Commercial teams to integrate informatics best practices into our data infrastructure, product development lifecycle, and customer implementations
  • Tooling and process improvement: evaluate, recommend, and potentially implement informatics tooling, and establish and refine processes for managing terminology updates, additions, and deletions gracefully
  • Strategic input: advise stakeholders on opportunities to use informatics to unlock new product use cases, improve user experience, and drive business outcomes, and stay abreast of industry standards and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eager to expand your scope of knowledge and understanding to new domains, such as those relevant to bringing innovative medical devices to market
  • Eager to learn new skills or improve the ones you have in areas such as writing SQL queries, using AI tooling and working with Python notebooks
