Information Security Manager, Remote - Malta

Summary

The job involves managing the organization's information security program to safeguard assets and ensure compliance. The candidate should have a background in ISO 27001, at least 5 years of experience in information security management, preferably in iGaming, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security management, preferably in the iGaming industry
• Proven experience with ISO 27001 implementation and maintenance
• Experience with PCI DSS compliance is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies
• Excellent knowledge of risk management, threat assessment, and vulnerability management
• Experience with security incident response and investigation
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Responsibilities

• Continue the Development and implementation of the existent comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Manage and maintain ISO 27001 certification, ensuring ongoing compliance and continuous improvement
• Lead risk assessment and management processes, identifying and mitigating security risks
• Develop and enforce information security policies, procedures, and standards
• Coordinate and conduct security awareness training programs for employees
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions
• Manage security audits and assessments, both internal and external, and coordinate responses to findings
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business
• Manage a small team of security engineers to instil and maintain security protocols on production systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of the information security program

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus
• Knowledgeable use of AI systems is an asset
