Summary

Join DuploCloud as an Infrastructure Automation Engineer and build automation tools and integrations using Python, Go, or similar languages. You will write infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, or Cloudformation, and work in cloud environments (AWS preferred) to test and validate your work. This role requires strong Python programming skills and experience with IaC and CI/CD tools. You will collaborate with engineers and product teams, troubleshoot production issues, and write documentation. The position offers remote work flexibility and a competitive compensation package.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong programming skills in Python (Must have) and Go or other similar languages
  • Solid experience with scripting and automation using Bash and Terraform
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with Docker and containerized services
  • Hands-on experience with Git and CI tools like GitHub Actions and Circle CI, or similar tools
  • A practical approach to testing, debugging, and deploying software
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation tools using Python, Go, or similar languages. For example CLIs and building third party plugins/integrations
  • Write infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, Cloudformation, etc. Specifically distributing shareable modules in a variety of brands
  • Work in cloud environments to test, validate, and demo the tools we make
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Automate manual tasks and contribute to CI/CD workflows which are distributed to clients as products
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and even customers on feature development and infrastructure improvements
  • Troubleshoot production issues by fielding questions, concerns, and bugs coming from users of the tools
  • Writing documentation for the tools we make

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code at scale
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or ECS
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, or ELK)
  • Experience writing CLI tools or developer automation
  • Python and/or Terraform Certification
