Requirements
- 5+ years in a sales support, inside sales, or sales operations role
- Previous experience in the power industry a plus
- Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce), and comfortable with MS Office Suite. Experience with analytics tools is a plus
- Experience in managing responses to RFP events and creating proposals
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for clear and effective customer communication
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines
- Experience analyzing data, generating reports, and offering actionable insights to support sales strategy
- Demonstrated ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, providing exceptional service throughout the sales process
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation of comprehensive proposals and quotes for potential clients, working with the Pricing Manager, Business Development and Account Management to gather necessary details and tailor proposals to customer needs
- Support Commercial Operations team in distillation of inbound RFPs, internal outreach to stakeholders, and submittal of proposals to customers through various mediums
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity information within the CRM, including opportunity entry
- Conduct handover process of executed contracts and received Purchase Orders to various internal stakeholders
- Act as a point of contact for customers during bid process to ensure questions are answered and our proposal is appropriately addressing the RFP
- Generate and analyze sales reports to support forecasting, performance tracking, and pipeline visibility, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Evaluate existing sales processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements. Own Standard Operating Procedures for bid intake, proposal generation, opportunity entry, PO review and contract handovers
- Develop and maintain proposal templates ensuring that the sales team has the resources they need to succeed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience; MBA or other advanced degree valued but not required
- 3+ years of experience in the energy industry
- Meticulous organization and critical thinking skills
- A strong work ethic and strict attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem solve
- Strong Microsoft Office skillset
- Highly driven and hard working with high standards for themselves and others
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in Salesforce, Tableau a plus
