Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree (or ex-US equivalent) is preferred, in instructional design, training & development or related field. Minimum 4+ years significant relative experience without a degree
- Must have 4+ years of Pharma-related / clinical research related / adult learning related experience
- Must have demonstrated a high level of core and technical competencies
- Possesses good communication skills and demonstrated leadership abilities and problem solving skills
- Expertise in instructional design principles and adult learning tools
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, engaging learning experiences on time and within budget (if applicable) that are based on sound instructional design principles and align with adult learning theories and corporate learning models
- Ensure learning experiences are issued via the appropriate platform and all metadata and approvals are complete and accurate to facilitate compliance, effective searching and periodic review
- Participates on continuous improvement projects or cross-functional initiatives in support of business priorities
- Identify issues that potentially impact compliance to learning expectations and identify potential interventions or solutions to mitigate risks
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of curricula by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes and ensure alignment to business objectives
- Effectively communicate learning/knowledge gaps, metrics and project progress. Establish networks and relationships within and across functions to define training needs and current training progress within the organization
- Manage and oversee outsourced projects to ensure alignment with SME expectations, business objectives, and AbbVie processes
- Analyze and evaluate learning needs in support of clinical trial execution and may work with vendors to design and develop robust, engaging learning experiences
- Onboard and mentor junior level instructional designers
Preferred Qualifications
