Summary
Join CannonDesign as an Interior Designer and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams on diverse projects. You will assist senior designers in all project phases, from programming to construction administration. Responsibilities include design development, documentation, FFE selection, and client interaction. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture, along with 4+ years of experience, is required. Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, and other software is essential. The salary range is $57,905 to $72,335 annually, with potential for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401k plan. The position can be filled anywhere in the US, with preference given to candidates near CannonDesign locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture required
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience required
- Must be able to participate the development of projects' technical or design characteristics and content
- Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required
- Travel as required
Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager with the execution of the project goals throughout all phases (Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration)
- Assist in the development of the design including planning and three-dimensional studies
- Independently assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces to include drawings of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, pattern designs, elevations, details, etc
- Provide support to the Senior Interior Designer with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout and specifications throughout all phases of interior design work, as required
- Produce drawings in conformance with project time, cost and quality constraints
- Identify, research and apply building and life safety codes to applicable interior design work
- Prepare renderings and other presentation materials
- Follow CannonDesign drawing standards
- Participate in client meetings with Senior Interior Designer to gain client interaction and presentation experience
- Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals and shop drawings, and conducting punch list. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site
- Mentor less experienced interior design staff and provide guidance in the development of project documents
- Actively participate and promote design quality
- Understand proper application of materials
- May perform other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
Current NCIDQ certification is preferred
