Interiors Design & Release Engineer Jr

Summary

ALTEN Mexico is seeking a talented and motivated Interiors Design & Release Engineer to join their team. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, validating, timing, and producing releases of interior components and systems. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of design and release processes.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience designing and developing 1-3 of the following: mold plastics, seat structures/mechanisms, lighting, and/or interior system integration
• Experience with injection molding, painting, or decorating plastic components
• Experience with OEM or supplier design and release is a plus
• Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point
• Create and edit BoM's
• Experience with component builds and execution
• Experience with production process feasibility and development including mold flow analysis or other interior component manufacturing process

Responsibilities

The Interiors D&R Engineer is responsible for the component and system level design, development, validation, timing, and production release of the following areas: Seat Systems, Structure & Components, TRIM, Cockpit

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Engineering or Business
• Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Shaining Problem Solving
• In plant launch experience
