Requirements

• Back End or Full Stack development experience, from database to the presentation layer
• PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, ReactJS
• Experience working within an agile product team, collaborating with Dev Manager, Product Manager and Design
• Experience building scalable and performant features or systems
• Passionate about writing performant code and optimizing database queries
• Someone with a growth mindset, adaptable to learning new technologies, promoting a culture knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Can help identify technical debt or challenges, and collaborate on brainstorming scalable, maintainable solutions
• Advocate for best practices, continuously looking for ways to improve code quality, test coverage, and development workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Our development team at Jane primarily works with Ruby on Rails, but we welcome applicants with experience in Java, C#, Python, and Go
• We do not require frontend knowledge but being curious and willing to develop and modify frontend features is a plus
