Summary

Join a dedicated and innovative DevOps team at Lucid, specializing in mobile and retail commerce applications. As an Intern DevOps Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the experienced DevOps team to help build, maintain, and scale infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and technologies such as Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins.

Requirements

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python with the ability to write clean and efficient code
  • Cloud Knowledge: Basic understanding of AWS services and cloud concepts
  • Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure as Code: Basic knowledge of Terraform or similar IaC tools
  • CI/CD: Exposure to Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools is a plus
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline operations and infrastructure management tasks
  • Assist in automating the deployment and scaling of applications and services
  • Support the design, deployment, and management of cloud-based infrastructure on AWS
  • Learn and assist in the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Work with Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications
  • Assist in setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters, including monitoring and logging
  • Help in the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of code into production environments
  • Participate in monitoring system performance and ensuring the reliability and scalability of the infrastructure
  • Assist in identifying bottlenecks and proposing optimizations for performance improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar certifications are a plus
  • Hands-On Experience: Previous internship or project experience in DevOps or cloud computing
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git and version control practices
