Summary

The job is for an Audit Intern in OakNorth Bank's Internal Audit Department, where the intern will assist in planning and executing internal audits, perform audit procedures, identify control deficiencies, conduct research on industry trends, and support the team on ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy Final (CA Intermediate completed)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit assignments
• Perform audit procedures, including reviewing and analyzing financial statements, accounting records, internal controls (including IT)
• Identify and document control deficiencies
• Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to UK Banking industry
• Support the team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting principles, internal audit standards is a plus
• Prior experience in a finance, audit, or IT controls compliance role is preferred but not required
