Summary

The job is a full-time remote position for a professional with 2-5 years' experience in internal audits, compliance testing, or audit sustainment and remediation services for a US Federal Agency. The role involves improper payment testing to ensure payments comply with program requirements. The employee will perform key activities throughout the improper payment testing life cycle, maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship (Required)
  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Required)
  • Minimum 2-5 years of related internal audit/compliance testing/internal controls experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct improper payment testing for federal agencies to ensure payments comply with program requirements
  • Perform key activities throughout the improper payment testing life cycle: developing audit plans and test procedures, performing testing of select transactions, identifying root cause of payment errors, researching issues, and reporting findings
  • Identify potential issues and communicate to team lead and organization stakeholders
  • Assist with documenting the execution of specific test procedures as defined by the engagement objectives
  • Create client presentations and deliverables
  • Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the Federal environment
  • Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
  • Perform in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery
