Summary
The job is a full-time remote position for a professional with 2-5 years' experience in internal audits, compliance testing, or audit sustainment and remediation services for a US Federal Agency. The role involves improper payment testing to ensure payments comply with program requirements. The employee will perform key activities throughout the improper payment testing life cycle, maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
Requirements
- US Citizenship (Required)
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Required)
- Minimum 2-5 years of related internal audit/compliance testing/internal controls experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct improper payment testing for federal agencies to ensure payments comply with program requirements
- Perform key activities throughout the improper payment testing life cycle: developing audit plans and test procedures, performing testing of select transactions, identifying root cause of payment errors, researching issues, and reporting findings
- Identify potential issues and communicate to team lead and organization stakeholders
- Assist with documenting the execution of specific test procedures as defined by the engagement objectives
- Create client presentations and deliverables
- Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the Federal environment
- Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- Perform in a highly collaborative team environment
- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery
