Summary

Join our team as an Internal Quality Assurer (Education & Social Care) to carry out IQA activities, ensure quality standards are met, and support assessors in their roles. This is an hourly contract role paying Β£22 per hour.

Requirements

  • Relevant occupational competence in health and social care
  • At least 2 years of relevant care management experience
  • Experience working in an assessment/IQA/EQA role
  • Experience in delivering training and support to assessors
  • Hold one of the following assessor qualifications, or equivalent: Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Enviroment, or Level 3 Certification in Assessing Vocational Achievement, or A1 Assess Candidates Performance using a range of methods, or D32 Assess candidate performance and D33 Asses candidate using different course of evidence
  • Hold one of the following quality assurance qualifications, or equivalent: Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, or Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, or V1 Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process, or D34 Internally verify the assessment
  • Familiarity with relevant quality assurance frameworks, standards, and accreditation processes

Responsibilities

  • Carry out IQA activities for our regulated provision
  • Ensure that all IQA activities continually meet the needs of the learners and exceed awarding organisation requirements and Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition
  • Contribute to an ongoing cycle of standardisation meetings and calibration exercises for assessors
  • Complete IQA reports that are clear, well written and have sufficient detail to support and improve performance
  • Providing feedback and recommendations for improvement to assessors based on quality assurance reviews
  • Support External Quality Assurance (EQA) activities
  • Help to ensure assessors are supported, trained and developed, providing mentorship
