Inventory Controller

Summary

This hands-on role involves implementing inventory systems for clients, from needs assessment and system selection to setup and implementation. Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or something similar
• Have over 5 years of progressive experience, preferably in a startup environment
• Be comfortable with Controller-level work and interacting with clients daily
• Have a strong working knowledge of a variety of systems + tools and quickly learn how to navigate through new ones
• Be familiar with GAAP

Responsibilities

• Implement inventory systems for clients, including mapping out needs, choosing a system, and setting up and implementing the system
• Support startup clients needing Controller help
• Manage accountants and processes for clients and possibly internally to Burkland
• Build out robust processes and implement systems for clients
• Work through client requests involving inventory implementation and management
• Work with inventory/purchasing software like Fishbowl and Katana and the ability to sync with Quickbooks/Netsuite
• Build and oversee accounting processes for clients (including monthly and yearly financial close, invoicing, A/R, A/P, general ledger, project accounting and cash management)
• Expand revenue streams
• Conduct Due Diligence, equity (Carta experience preferred)
