Summary

Heron Finance is expanding its Credit team for a highly visible role that involves managing end-to-end investment process, conducting research, creating scoring models, setting up portfolio management, and partnering with various teams. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of credit underwriting experience, financial modeling experience, and operates well in an entrepreneurial environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of credit underwriting experience at a private credit fund, an investment bank, or a similar institution
• 2+ year of three-statement financial modeling experience

Responsibilities

• Manage end to end investment process from origination through underwriting and monitoring
• Conduct research and provide recommendations on investment opportunities and risk management strategies
• Create and maintain proprietary scoring models to programmatically rate private credit assets
• Stand up portfolio-management function and lead all aspects of risk monitoring and reporting
• Partner with Finance and Operations teams to ensure efficient funding operations for new and existing investments
• Partner with Product and GTM teams on strategic and business development projects
• Partner with Engineering team to build and maintain internal risk infrastructure, including management of underwriting workflows and loan management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in a quantitative field
• Demonstrated interest in early-stage startups

Benefits

Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 a year
