Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in this or a similar role
  • Proficiency in Azure Active Directory and Google Workspace (G Suite)
  • Experience with pfSense/Opnsense firewalls and Ubiquiti network gear
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with AWS services (IAM, EC2, VPC) and Azure technologies
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced support for hardware and software issues, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex problems across workstations, servers, and network devices
  • Support end-users across various platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
  • Procure, set up, and manage IT equipment for employees, including inventory management and asset tracking
  • Install and configure hardware (laptops, workstations) and software, maintaining a secure and stable environment
  • Set up and manage network devices to support reliable network connectivity
  • Administer Windows and Linux servers, applying patches, updates, and security protocols as needed
  • Implement security protocols and maintain compliance in access management
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security of servers, networks, workstations, and cloud infrastructure
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to safeguard organizational data from threats
  • Enforce access management policies to maintain data integrity and compliance across all platforms
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and support tickets to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance
  • Configure and manage firewalls (pfSense/OPNsense), including VLAN and VPN setup, and maintain Ubiquiti network equipment (switches and access points) to ensure secure network operations
  • Oversee user accounts, permissions, and access controls using Azure Active Directory and Google Workspace, ensuring compliance with security policies
  • Administer the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), ensuring seamless operation and support for end-users
  • Provide support for AWS services, including IAM, EC2, and VPC configuration and management
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on new software, tools, and IT best practices to enhance productivity and security awareness
  • Partner with IT team members and other departments to identify and implement improvements in technology and processes, enhancing operational efficiency and security

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Workspace) will be considered an asset
