Join Rightway as an innovative IT and Security Support Engineer. You will independently address challenges, triage security alerts, and support the IT Service Desk. This role offers mentorship and learning opportunities within a robust team. Responsibilities include responding to security alerts, managing service desk tickets, supporting IT and security operations, documenting processes, assisting with audits, and leveraging a modern tech stack. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience, proficiency with MacOS and specific technologies, and strong critical thinking skills. Additional preferred qualifications include cybersecurity certifications and experience in regulated industries. The base salary is $90,000-$105,000.
Requirements
- Strong interest in developing cybersecurity expertise while continuing to work in an IT service desk role
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT support or a related field
- Proficiency with MacOS software, hardware, and deployment strategies in an enterprise setting
- Significant experience with technologies such as Okta, JAMF, Google Workspace Admin, Zscaler, Atlassian, Crowdstrike, Meraki (or other enterprise networking), and similar tools
- Utilizes critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Enjoys a schedule based on typical corporate business hours (Eastern Standard Time)
- Demonstrates professionalism and a calm approach when collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including during challenging situations. Remains flexible and positive when navigating unexpected challenges, helping to maintain excellent service and employee satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Respond to routine security alerts using a clearly defined playbook in collaboration with the security team
- Work alongside the IT team to manage, prioritize, and resolve service desk tickets efficiently
- Support IT and Security operations by handling employee onboarding, offboarding, and access control modifications in accordance with HITRUST requirements
- Document critical IT and Security processes under the direction of the respective teams
- Assist in gathering evidence for SOC2 and HITRUST audits
- Leverage a modern technical stack including MacOS, Okta, and JAMF to proactively address technical issues and support Rightway employees
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance)
- History of working in an environment with Data Loss Prevention in-place
- Knowledge of email routing and email security solutions (e.g., Zix, Proofpoint)
