IT Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Wealthsimple's Business Enterprise Systems team as a key contributor to designing, developing, and deploying automations and integrations across our SaaS products. You will manage system integrations, lead custom solution development, and ensure data integrity across various enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS). This role requires expertise in system integration technologies and strong programming skills, along with experience with enterprise software platforms. Requirements

• Expertise in system integration technologies (Workato, Zapier, Boomi)
• Strong programming skills for developing solutions (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc) specifically with Slack and Google Cloud
• Experience with ERP (NetSuite, Oracle), HRIS (Workday), CRM (Salesforce) or other enterprise software platforms
• Familiarity with data architecture, data governance, and security best practices
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Adaptable to all situations and willing to assist with other team members

Responsibilities

• Manage system integrations, data flows, and custom development efforts to ensure interaction between different business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS)
• Lead the development of custom solutions and enhancements within enterprise systems based on business needs
• Develop custom applications, scripts, and automations to meet specific business needs that cannot be addressed by out-of-the-box solutions
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across all systems by managing data flows, handling data transformations, and applying governance rules
• Maintain and manage APIs and middleware solutions to connect systems, reduce manual work, and streamline business processes
• Ensure that all integrations and custom developments adhere to the organization's security protocols
• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving system integration issues, providing technical support, and maintaining system uptime
• Use a ticketing system for tracking issues, troubleshooting, user support and internal communications
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data consistency and integrity across systems
