IT & InfoSec Specialist Intern

Summary

The job description is for an IT & InfoSec Intern at Improvado, a rapidly scaling startup that provides marketing intelligence solutions. The intern will focus on SaaS management, employee onboarding/offboarding, IAM, and user support.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and security principles, familiarity with common operating systems, knowledge of SaaS platforms and their management
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, strong command of the English language, ability to work independently and as part of a team, willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

Responsibilities

• Corporate SaaS Management & Support: Assist in managing and supporting the company’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. Monitor usage, ensure compliance with security policies, collaborate with vendors, maintain inventory, and ensure proper licensing
• Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Support the IT team in onboarding new employees, ensure secure offboarding, create and update documentation related to the processes
• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Assist in managing user accounts and access rights, participate in regular reviews and audits, support SSO and MFA solutions
• User Support: Provide first-line technical support to employees, troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents, contribute to the creation and maintenance of a knowledge base

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship or work experience in an IT support or security-related role, experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems, understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts, basic scripting or automation knowledge, familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance standards
