Summary

Join Circ, a B Corp company and leader in sustainable fashion technology, as their first internal IT Manager. You will be responsible for all aspects of internal IT, from daily operations to long-term strategy, initially without a team. This hybrid role (primarily remote, with occasional travel to Danville, VA) requires 5+ years of IT experience in small to mid-sized companies. You will manage endpoint setup, security, user support, and infrastructure planning, while also leading the transition away from a Managed Service Provider. This impactful role offers autonomy to build and refine systems for a distributed team. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, support, or systems administration
  • Experience working in small to mid-sized companies (50โ€“250 employees), ideally as a solo IT lead or in a small team
  • Experience transitioning away from or managing an MSP
  • Familiarity supporting remote or globally distributed teams
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, MDM platforms, identity management tools, and endpoint security
  • Comfortable being both tactical and strategicโ€”youโ€™ll be both the architect and the operator
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal IT support and help desk questions
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding (device provisioning, access setup, asset tracking)
  • Procure, configure, and ship laptops and other hardware to employees
  • Maintain our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform
  • Manage Microsoft licensing and troubleshoot user access and issues
  • Conduct employee training on IT best practices (e.g., phishing awareness, secure password use)
  • Provide support and guidance on SharePoint and file structure organization
  • Own the administration and optimization of company-wide IT systems
  • Create and enforce IT policies covering areas such as access controls, password hygiene, secure file sharing, device usage, software installation, data retention, and acceptable use
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and systems that support business growth
  • Monitor device and network security, including antivirus, patch management, and endpoint protection
  • Respond to and mitigate phishing and other security threats
  • Maintain documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and asset inventory
  • Lead the offboarding of our current MSP and ensure continuity during the transition
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support evolving IT needs
  • Develop and manage the IT budget and vendor relationships
