Drive architectural effectiveness in business initiatives, maintain current architecture while envisioning future states, and develop technology roadmaps. Architect solutions addressing business capabilities and non-functional requirements, evaluate technology trends, and promote architecture processes. Provide technical leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and align business and technology strategies. This role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and 12+ years of relevant experience, including expertise in cloud services and financial systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent education and work experience
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelorβs or equivalent
- Proficient with major cloud services providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- 12+ years of varied experience implementing all aspects of solution architecture. Exposure to application development, integration, information management, infrastructure, and information security domains
- 10+ years of complex enterprise experience leading architecture efforts. Subject matter expertise across varying technology and business disciplines
- 10+ years of architecting scalable, secure, highly available, and fault tolerant technical solutions
- 6+ years of major cloud services providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- 6+ years of understanding of cloud security principles and practices, including secure software development, threat modeling, and incident response
- 5+ years of banking or financial services and products domain experience. Comparable domain experience will also be considered
- Proven success in planning, influencing, and leading architecture initiatives across IT and business organizations and teams
- Prior experience transitioning from traditional on-premises solutions to AWS
- Expertise with modern financial systems and auxiliary processes to improve performance, scalability, and extensibility, meeting specific business capabilities and non-functional requirements
Responsibilities
- Own architectural responsibilities in defining and supporting the implementation of modern Infrastructure platforms, methodologies, programs, processes, standards, organization structure, metrics and approaches in support and growth of our business
- Drives the architectural effectiveness of business capability-related initiatives within the organization
- Owns maintenance of the current state architecture while envisioning future state architecture aligned with product objectives. Develops technology roadmaps to smoothly transition from the current state to the desired future state
- Architects solutions that address specific business capabilities and non-functional requirements
- Designs solutions to advance and optimize the enterprise infrastructure
- Evaluates technology, market trends and industry plus identifies prospective impact on business
- Promotes architecture process and results to organization inclusive of business leaders and enterprise information technology
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural best practices and standards
- Collaborates closely with senior business and technology leaders, including product management, business, engineering, and operations
- Aligns business and technology strategy, ensuring seamless communication across multiple levels within the organization
- Develops architecture roadmap on basis of IT strategies and business requirements
- Defines and establishes technical strategies, standards, and guidelines in collaboration with other architects
- Creates logical architecture diagrams to support large, complex, and cross-capability area initiatives

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in implementation of a new modern core banking system and large migration of the existing core is a plus
