Java Backend Developer in United States

Summary

Nisum is looking for a Java Developer with at least 6 years of experience in Java 8+ and 5 years in Spring Boot to join their team. The developer will be responsible for implementing error-handling mechanisms, logging and monitoring solutions, troubleshooting issues, maintaining applications, optimizing JVM sizing, managing configurations, and working with cloud-based solutions. Preferred qualifications include experience with MQ, Kafka, or Eventhub, and GCP cloud. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field is required. Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with Java 8+
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Core, MVC, Executor, JMS, JPA, etc
• 3+ years of experience writing tests with JUnit, Mockito, etc
• 2+ years of experience with TDD
• 3+ years of experience with Maven / Gradle build tools
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and PLS/SQL
• 3+ years of experience with ORM frameworks such as IBatis/MyBatis/Hibernate
• 2+ years of experience with GIT

Responsibilities

• Develop robust error-handling mechanisms to ensure the resilience of applications
• Implement effective logging and monitoring solutions for timely error detection and resolution
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues to provide quick and efficient resolutions
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to meet evolving business requirements
• Optimize Java Virtual Machine (JVM) sizing for improved performance and resource utilization
• Manage application configurations and ensure proper version control
• Work with cloud-based solutions and containerization technologies to deploy and scale applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MQ, Kafka, or Eventhub is preferred
• Experience with GCP cloud is preferred
