Java Engineer

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor or a Master Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Have several years of experience as a Backend Engineer
• Have a good hands-on experience with Java and Spring
• Have a strong knowledge of the Azure cloud ecosystem
• Have a good understanding of CI/CD in Azure
• Work both independently and in a team environment
• Be a team player and have strong communication skills
• Thrive for quality and have a genuine interest about the final end-user experience
• Enjoy writing comprehensive technical specifications
• Be fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native Java applications and services in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
• Collaborate with architects, program managers, and other engineers to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of Azure-based Java applications
• Relational/non-relational data model design
• Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deploying Java applications on Azure
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance
• Stay updated on the latest Azure services and features and assess their relevance to ongoing projects
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Have some experience with .Net and C#
• Have experience as full stack engineer
• Have experience with PostgreSQL and/or Cosmos DB
• Be fluent in Dutch, German and/or French
