Remote Java Software Engineer

Summary

Join Azul's growing team as a Java Software Engineer and contribute to developing the Azul Intelligence Cloud SaaS product. As a member of the Knowledge Base team, you will deliver new features in Java and Kotlin, fix bugs, and perform code reviews while leading professional discussions on cloud architecture.

Requirements

• Is an Engineer at heart - highly technical, with solid skills in writing algorithms, software design and architecture
• Is experienced with modern cloud and data technologies, microservice architectures, and serverless and/or container-based architectures
• Has 5+ years of working experience and 3+ years in Java development. Kotlin is a plus, Python is nice to have
• Has experience with data pipelines and data mining
• Familiarity with the world of Java vulnerabilities is a plus
• Has positive energy and enjoys communication with others
• Holds BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver our SaaS solution together with the Backend, QA, DevOps Engineers and Application Developers
• Develop and implement new features in Java and Kotlin
• Fix bugs and perform code review
• Lead professional discussion about the architecture and technological future of our product and its newly designed functionalities
