Remote JavaScript Engineer

Summary

The job is for a skilled JavaScript Engineer to join Opera's AI Frontend team in Wroclaw (remote work not considered). The primary focus will be developing and maintaining innovative, AI-driven features for Opera products. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript development, proficiency with React and Redux, knowledge of front-end build tools, and modern front-end testing frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript development
• Proficiency with React (minimum 3 years) and familiarity with state management tools like Redux
• Knowledge of front-end build tools like Webpack, Vite, npm, or yarn
• Experience with modern front-end testing frameworks such as Vitest or Jest
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Build and implement new AI-driven functionalities for the Opera products
• Optimize and update current features to ensure efficiency and scalability
• Tackle complex issues, providing expert technical solutions to ensure smooth operation
• Work closely with Product, Design, and AI teams to align development with product goals
• Conduct code reviews and foster a collaborative environment where team members actively share knowledge and ideas to drive growth and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend technologies like Node.js
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience
• Knowledge of Software Design Patterns
