Summary
We are seeking qualified candidates to fill a Junior Highway Engineer position in our King of Prussia, PA office. The candidate will work as part of a team in all facets of transportation engineering and will be responsible for tasks such as design, safety assessments, report preparation, field reconnaissance, and inspection. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation from an ABET Accredited College is required, along with 0 to 5 years of experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication and organizational skills are also required. Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling software, PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission projects, and having an EIT Certificate or the ability to obtain one within 12 months are preferred. The salary range is $60,000 - $70,000. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with concentration in Transportation) from an ABET Accredited College
- 0 to 5 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word & Excel
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team in all facets of transportation engineering including roadway, trail, and pedestrian type projects
- Design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, signing and pavement markings, safety assessments, erosion and sediment control, development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes, and preparation of construction related documents
- Report preparation, field reconnaissance and inspection, project rendering
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is a plus
- Experience with Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling software a plus
- Experience with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission projects is a plus
- Preferably have their EIT Certificate (or the ability to obtain within 12 months) - PE License is a plus
