Jr. SDET

Summary

The job is for a proactive Junior SDET to improve the quality of a platform by collaborating with engineers, identifying automation gaps, and helping build out quality standards. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience as a SDET or similar role, be familiar with testing tools like Cypress, Playwright, PactJs, K6, programming languages such as JavaScript/Typescript and Python, and have excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a SDET or similar role
• Experience in improving quality, problem solving, and creating long-term solutions
• Experience testing with various testing methodologies like performance testing, contract testing, integration testing, load testing, etc
• Understanding of API design and implementation
• Experience with testing tools and frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, PactJs, K6, etc
• Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as JavaScript/Typescript and Python
• Competency in SQL
• Familiarity with monitoring related tools and frameworks like Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, etc
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Advocate for quality across engineering teams
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve quality standards and practices
• Document and track defects, produce detailed reports
• Develop and maintain technical expertise in products, industry trends, and quality best practices
• Improve test automation frameworks that drive quality across the platform
• Improve CI/CD pipelines
• Engage in technical discussions to formulate test plans and provide guidance and support from a quality perspective

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Machine Learning and Generative AI
• Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
