Requirements

• Native-level (C2) proficiency in Juba Arabic, Arabi Juba , عربی جوبا, South Sudanese Creole Arabic (ISO: pga)
• Ability to read and write in the required language
• Familiarity with linguistics, as well as grammar and writing system/s of the required language
• Knowledge of colloquialisms, grammar and linguistic idiosyncrasies unique to the required language
• Ability to record yourself speaking clearly, in a quiet environment
• Responsiveness to email
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Computer and internet skills
• Web search skills
• Typing
• Previous professional experience working in the required language
• Formal education in the required language, secondary school or higher, strongly preferred
• Masters or Phd in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or the required language, preferred
• Personal laptop or access to a computer

• The job cannot be completed from your phone

Responsibilities

• Create language verification tests following detailed instructions provided upon employment
• Review language verification tests
• Evaluate language test submissions and do quality control on audio and video files
