Summary

Join Megaport's high-performing finance team as a Junior Financial Accountant! Based in Brisbane, you will collaborate with a team of accountants to deliver accurate financial results, conduct insightful analyses and reports, and contribute to key business initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, ASX-listed tech company and learn from various teams within the Group Finance function. You will work closely with other departments on key business initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a forward-thinking environment. Requirements

  • Recent tertiary graduate of Commerce, Accounting or Finance with minimum 1 year experience post graduation
  • Commenced or plans to commence further professional qualifications (CA/CPA)
  • Highly developed excel skills
  • Strong standards of ethics, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Agile and Adaptable - able to quickly adapt in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Brisbane based

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to complete ongoing financial accounting and month-end close procedures including preparing calculations, posting journals, performing analysis and reconciliations
  • Maintaining the fixed and intangible asset registers
  • Providing analysis and commentary to support management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly basis as well as ad hoc reporting as required
  • Assist with the Group and Statutory audits
  • Reviewing, developing, and implementing new and existing policies and procedures in the company
  • Effectively manage multiple stakeholders internally and externally
  • Driving ongoing process improvement within Finance
