Summary

The job is for a Junior Full Stack Developer in the Melbourne office of Two Circles, a global sports agency. The role involves working on digital products and solutions for clients, learning and growing within the technical team, and keeping up with emerging technologies and trends in sports technology. The candidate should have a university degree in software development or similar, 1-2 years' experience in the workforce, and be comfortable with back-end engineering technology.

Requirements

  • University degree in stack software development (or similar)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the workforce working on client systems
  • Experience with back-end engineering technology and is comfortable in the implementation of new features/capabilities of small to large codebase(s)
  • Experience of REST, RPC, HTTP (and similar protocols) used in modern architectures
  • Can utilise tools like git to manage code versioning In a team environment
  • Experience and alignment to the broader Microsoft technology stack including dotnet, Azure, C#, MSSQL, etc
  • Exposure to SDLC processes including testing (unit/integration), design patterns (OOP, DDD among others) and release management (CI/CD)
  • Experience with database technologies such as relational databases (MSSQL). Other data technologies such as NoSQL (CosmosDB, Mongo), and caching technologies such as Redis is a bonus
  • Some experience with front end frameworks such as React, JQuery, Vue, etc. is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Hands on responsibilities in the development and support of new and existing digital products for our clients
  • Working within an Agile development team, you will be responsible for estimating, and implementing new features and capabilities in accordance with the requirements
  • Collaboration with product leads, consultants, designers and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Strong team player in the digital products team, working alongside other developers and team-members
  • Internally prioritises work and helps contribute to the team’s prioritisation within sprints

Preferred Qualifications

Has experience or knowledge of wider DevOps responsibilities such as monitoring (with tools like Grafana, Azure App Insights, Datadog), security, CI/CD, networking, and infrastructure
