Summary
Join CannonDesign's Brand, Marketing, and Business Development (BMBD) team as a Jr. Graphic Designer in Chicago, IL, St. Louis, MO, Houston, TX, or Denver, CO. This role involves assisting senior designers in creating various graphic assets, from infographics and brochures to social media campaigns and pitch decks. You will execute design concepts across all media, working closely with other BMBD professionals. The ideal candidate possesses 1+ years of professional graphic design experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 360. The position offers a salary range of $48,000 to $60,000 annually, along with a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, flexible schedules, remote work options, and a 401k plan.
Requirements
- 1+ years professional experience in a graphic design position, experience in the AE field is a plus but not required
- Bachelorβs degree in graphic design or a related field
- Strong graphic design portfolio showing a balance of brand collateral and editorial design
- Experience working in a team setting
- Compelling storytelling style, in both written and visual applications
- Willing to travel in support of remote projects and teams
- Experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and the Microsoft Office 360 Suite
Responsibilities
- Execute. Take a project from strategy to storyboard to final design with an eye on creative storytelling
- Learn. Ask questions and cultivate a sense of curiosity across all project types including social media and project deliverables
- Assist. Support senior team members in larger projects that complex elements and tight deadlines
- Think. Use empathy and intuition to clarify complex ideas, visions and strategies
- Design. Develop creative solutions across all media types that express a unique vision
- Explore. Continually research compelling ways to spread our message and integrate best practices to the team and the firm
- Share. Share inspiration sources, projects and other design materials
- Communicate. Actively participate in team critiques and practice talking about the concepts behind your work
- Catalog. Develop a deep knowledge of our firmwide portfolio of projects, personnel and thought leadership
- Manage. Balance multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with After Effects, Cinema 4D and Premiere is advantageous but not required
