Junior Manual QA Engineer

Summary

Join our team to ensure the quality of our software products for device firmware/testing on production. We're looking for a strong technical background, basic programming knowledge, and understanding of testing theory.

Requirements

• Strong technical background (technical education)
• Basic knowledge of programming
• Knowledge and understanding of testing theory (what QA is, what it does, and which tools are used for this technique)
• Document management: creating test cases, user scenarios, checklists
• Ability to accurately describe a bug report and lead the life cycle of a bug
• Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira)
• English at a reading and understanding documentation level

Responsibilities

• Improve the quality of our software products for device firmware/testing on production
• Analyze software requirements for testing devices, functionality, and test stands
• Prepare checklists, test cases, and test plans
• Find bugs not just by finding them, but by using logs, debugging tools, and external manifestations to understand the causes of these bugs
• Conduct research on device and program work, troubleshoot

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electronics (radio technical education, radio amateurism, products on arduino etc.)
• Knowledge of version control systems (git)
• Understanding how a working desk and client-server programs are organized
• Understanding what a database is and how it's organized
• Experience testing hardware projects
