Junior Mechanical Draftsperson

Summary

The job is for an Electron Mechanical Draftsperson at Rocket Lab responsible for designing and drawing Electron vehicle components in NX CAD software. The role requires at least 3 years of experience with NX (or similar software) and a good understanding of GD&T. A background in engineering or CAD technology is suitable.

Requirements

NX (or similar such as Solidworks) experience of at least 3 years is essential. Good understanding of GD&T, a structured and organized approach, ability to follow SOP’s, works well under pressure, attention to detail, high standard of presentation and accuracy of work, practical mindset

Responsibilities

Communicate design for manufacturing purposes, adhere to company drafting standards, translate feedback from engineers and technicians into improved technical drawings, and submit them to approval workflows

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the aerospace industry is an advantage but not essential
